چکیده
Nepeta nuda L. (Lamiaceae) is a medicinal plant with wide distribution in Europa and Asia. In Bulgaria, N. also known as “naked (or hairless) catmint”, which likely refers to the naked or sparse short hairy stem leaves. This study aims generate DNA barcodes for precise genetic discrimination determination of phylogenetic position among other species. To achieve this goal, we applied barcoding technique based on conserved nuclear (internal transcribed spacer/ITS) chloroplast ( rbcL , matK trnH ) regions. The generated barcode sequences were submitted Barcode Life Data System (BOLD) database (https://www.boldsystems.org; accession number BUL002-22). obtained corresponding species available BOLD NCBI utilized taxonomic classification. ITS-derived most enriched database, fragments matching 47 selected construction tree. results show that clustered subclade together sheilae deflersiana isaurica congesta heliotropifolia schiraziana cataria . information was retrieved corresponded 15 10 different species, respectively. For only 6 found. Тhe three markers highlighted close relation italica tuberosa grandiflora hemsleyana conclusion, suggest system could assist its accurate characterization.

Phylogenetics of the Caprifolieae and Lonicera (Dipsacales) Based on Nuclear and Chloroplast DNA Sequences
Recent phylogenetic analyses of the Dipsacales strongly support a Caprifolieae clade within Caprifoliaceae including Leycesteria, Triosteum, Symphoricarpos, and Lonicera. Relationships within Caprifolieae, however, remain quite uncertain, and the monophyly of Lonicera, the most species-rich of the traditional genera, and its subdivisions, need to be evaluated. In this study we used sequences of...
متن کاملReticulate phylogenetics and phytogeographical structure of Heliosperma (Sileneae, Caryophyllaceae) inferred from chloroplast and nuclear DNA sequences.
The Balkan Peninsula is known to be one of the most diverse and species-rich parts of Europe, but its biota has gained much less attention in phylogenetic and evolutionary studies compared to other southern European mountain systems. We used nuclear ribosomal internal transcribed spacer (ITS) sequences and intron sequences of the chloroplast gene rps16 to examine phylogenetic and biogeographica...
متن کاملSelection of DNA barcoding loci for Nepeta deflersiana Schweinf. ex Hedge from chloroplast and nuclear DNA genomes.
Molecular markers, mainly DNA-based are potential tools for DNA barcoding and phylogenetic study. The plant species belonging to the Nepeta genus have important medicinal value because of the presence of nepetalactones, and they have been used to treat human diseases. We amplified nuclear and chloroplast gene loci to develop a DNA barcode and phylogenetic study of Nepeta deflersiana. Among the ...
متن کاملMolecular Phylogenetics of Bromus (Poaceae: Pooideae) Based on Chloroplast and Nuclear DNA Sequence Data
We conducted a phylogenetic analysis to characterize relationships among Bromus and test the monophyly of five of the seven morphologically distinct groups within Bromus (Poaceae: Pooideae) that have been treated as sections, subgenera, or genera. We sequenced the chloroplast trnL (UAA) intron, the 3!-end of the chloroplast ndhF gene, and the internal transcribed spacers (ITS) of the nuclear ri...
متن کاملPhylogeny of Ononis in Iran using nuclear ribosomal DNA and chloroplast sequence data
The genus Ononis, embraces more than 85 species worldwide. In the present study, materials of two subspecies of O. spinosa from different localities of Iran alongside some other native species of the genus were included in phylogenetic analyses. In addition, over 50 accessions were obtained from GenBank. In order to clarify the exact number of subspecies of O. spinosa in Iran, datasets were obta...
